I would happily return to and recommend buying from RPR626. Peter is very genuine and upfront about the vehicles he stocks. Not only did he provide numerous pictures of the vehicle before I made the journey to view it, but he endeavoured to answer all my questions beforehand. The vehicle was very well presented and Peter even included wheel refurbishment and a service in the price.
As Peter is an enthusiast himself, it feels like you’re buying a vehicle from a friend without any of the pressure you would usually associate with larger car dealers.

I had been searching for a 996 Turbo for some time and considered many examples around the Country. Finding these cars is becoming difficult and getting one in mint condition is even harder. After instructing an independent survey of a couple of examples in the South East (at great expense), I was shocked at the poor condition of some of the cars for sale though the established ‘specialist’ dealers.
The RPR626 experience couldn’t have been more different. Peter is a true gent and importantly a Porsche enthusiast with a fantastic wealth of knowledge of 911’s. Not only are the cars immaculately presented he is also rigourous in his stock selection. After a couple of hours chatting through the subject car, history and Porsche’s in general I was left in no doubt that RPR626 was the ‘specialist’ I was looking for.
The car was well priced and totally immaculate. I would be happy to recommend RPR626 to anyone looking for a proper car from a proper dealer.

I was looking to purchase my first Porsche and decided it need to come from reliable specialist, as I did not have the confidence or knowledge to buy privately.
After initially making enquiries for sourcing a 996 Turbo in March 2014 with various specialist Porsche dealers, one stood out from the crowd. I had spoken to Peter Richardson RPR626 on the phone and received some good honest advice, Peter also had the manners to return my initial call ( unlike some dealers). RPR626 did not have a Turbo in stock at the time, so I proceeded in viewing other available 996 Turbo's. My confidence was soon dented as the cars on offer by other dealers, were not what I was expecting. The months rolled by and I received a call from Peter to advise that he would have a Turbo available that could fit my requirement. I went to view the car and was very happy with what was presented, it was exactly what I was looking for.
Peter is a true enthusiast and would certainly be my first port of call when sourcing another Porsche.

What can I say, well I can start with I’m over the moon with my purchase from Peter, he is an absolute gent, very trusting and trustworthy. I had been looking for a mint 997 for over a year and had obviously seen the a few cars over that time, most described as mint, as new, never seen paint etc, well I actually managed to get a car like that through Peter.

What can I say about my experience with RPR626 and Peter other than it was a breath of fresh air!! After a list of bad experiences with other dealers - and a good few of them main dealers - to meet Peter was a relief. I rang regarding the car and he told me to come down that evening if I wanted, got there at 6pm and he spent a couple of hours with me, no pressure only solid experienced advice. The car (as with all the others in stock) was immaculate and just what I was looking for. He gave me what I wanted for my trade-in and told me I could drive away in my new purchase the following morning, where else would you get that!.
I’ve had the car (Cayman S) for two weeks now and it is everything Peter said it is and would be!, Would I go back to RPR626? - absolutely no hesitation whatsoever.

The car was presented to such a high standard it was like factory fresh.
The deal offered by Peter for my trade in was unbeatable and to say I was happy would be an understatement. The service given was fantastic, he handled all the paperwork including my cherished number transfer.

This is a brief (as I could make it) and very well deserved testimonial that I am happy to share with all your customers.

Regarding the sale of the wonderful Porsche 928 GTS that I bought from you:

I truly cannot begin to thank you enough for the warm reception and incomparable hospitality I received throughout the whole sale process of buying a car from you, from the long phone calls (always giving great and honest advice and never making me feel rushed to make a decision) to the ultra warm welcome when I arrived to view the car (roast beef and Yorkshire puds included..!)

Here's my honest and genuine story of the best car sale I have ever experienced in my whole life... No Bull..!

After first chatting to Pete, I quickly realised that, here is a genuine guy who's not pushing to make a sale and to say he knows his stuff would be an understatement. Once I had agreed to meet up (oop for the Northern lads ha ha!) with Pete to take a look over the GTS, I asked if it would be ok to bring along a good friend of mine (a well respected Porsche mechanic/expert Pat Walsh... "highly recommended"..) to keep my heart from ruling my head in case I fell in love with the car.. which I most certainly did.

Pete had no problem whatsoever with who I was bringing along... and as it turned out, Pete happened to be an old friend of Pat's and they hadn't seen each other in years... "well in all the dealers in all the world etc.."

We agreed to meet up the following weekend to view the car. We were travelling from Kent, so about a 4 to 5 hour journey for us depending on traffic so Pete asked "do you like beef?".. We certainly do I said, so with that Pete offered to cook us dinner for when we arrived after the long journey up. Well when we arrived around 1ish, we were presented with a warm greeting and a wonderful roast beef dinner with all the trimmings. We sat down with Pete and his lovely wife and daughter, we had proper Yorkshire puds and thick onion gravy to start (us cockney lads don't normally get this back home) followed by a tremendous Roast beef dinner... with even more Yorkshire's and we finished up with a large helping of apple crumble and custard... Not a bad greeting after a 4 1/2 hour journey.

We all sat and had a great time, it was lovely getting to know Peters family, made us feel very at home and it was good to see Pat and Pete have a catch up after many years... Plenty of friendly Geordie and Cockney banter going on.. ha ha!

So with our bellies full of laughter as well as good food, off we went to look at the car... well I loved it on sight and already had more than a good feeling about Pete and felt self assured that he was straight as a die honest to the core. Needless to say that Pete had already pointed out the minuscule things that may need attention if he was being picky before I'd even agreed to view the car... with that in mind, Pat had no more to report (after he could get up from the floor with all that food) after inspecting the car other than what Pete had already pointed out prior to our visit.

We took the GTS for a spin and needless to say I was falling in love with the car evermore, while Pete came along for the ride, It wasn't like having a typical salesman with you, no pressure, no talking the car up.. he just let us enjoy the drive and make up own minds.. It was actually like having another good friend come along with us to look at the car in a way... A very rare and refreshing experience.

Well, so as not to bore you all with every detail, we negotiated a deal on the car which was more than fair in my favour and I am over the moon with her..

I have since taken the GTS to the country's renowned Porsche 928 expert/guru (Paul Anderson of 928 spares, Gloucestershire) and had him fit a couple of new engine mounts whilst my wife and I were on the way to visit friends in Derbyshire (well it was a little off course but it was a good excuse to drive her for a little longer that day ha ha!). Paul offered to give the car a full check over for free as it was the first time he'd seen this particular 928 GTS and needless to say.. his verdict was that she was "sound as a pound".

To sum up, I truly believe the service that Peter of RPR626 offers is absolutely above and beyond that of any other respectful dealer in the country.. I have bought many nice cars in my time but have never had such an overwhelmingly genuine, honest, caring, knowledgeable and refreshing experience as buying a car from Pete. In fact, I doubt very much if you would get this kind of service if you bought a new Porsche, Ferrari, Bugatti etc... you may get a discount, you may get a free watch.. you may even get a trip out somewhere... But I can honestly say, genuinely from the heart.. You won't get such a genuine, warm, honest and knowledgeable service that you get from Peter... and you certainly won't get gorgeous home cooked roast beef with proper Yorkshire puds.. ha ha!
Effectively, I bought one of the lower priced cars that Pete had to offer, but he made me feel like I was buying the most expensive car in the country.

I am so happy that I bought this car from Pete, the whole humble experience makes me love the car even more somehow... not a feeling I recall ever having elsewhere.

I now have a great car and feel like I've made a good friend in the process... when I'm next looking for a car, I'll be back to Peter at RPR626 like a bolt of lightning.
